History

Founding of Tikal Bauchemie GmbH In the first few years the business focus lay on the development and manufacture of acrylic gels for refurbishing buildings. In the following years production was expanded to include polyurethane and epoxy resins for maintaining buildings and for the trade in sealants for waterproof concrete.

Founding of Tikal Marine Systems GmbH. The objective of the company is the production and sale of products for professional boat-building.

With selling Tef Gel in Germany and with the development of its own adhesive and sealing products TIKALFLEX, the production foundations were laid by 2007. Since 2009 we have been distributing boat-building epoxy resins from Axson and we have started production of various fillers of our own based on epoxy and polyester.

Distribution expanded into other European countries with national distributors in Holland, France, the former Yugoslavian states, Austria and Switzerland. Extensive approvals were obtained including certification of the resins by Lloyd’s and approval of Tef Gel to name but two.

Development of the Mobile Leisure Time / Caravan Division and further expansion into Europe planned
